Year after year... its been many years since we first started.
Some years were with old boys, some years were not.
Goods and bads... happys and sads..
how many of such years will we be going ever on?

Students or "darlings"?
its very busy in this new year.
everyday is going back home later than ever.
sometimes just cannot understand why students have to make a racket even when it is just lining up to go to another class.
the worst part is that you can look at them and they can treat it as being stared at by another teacher is totally nothing to be reflected upon.
wonder what has got into their heads really.
and the courtesy is almost zero.
goodness.

Our Unit
Today DE asked me "LX sir, how come you never teach drill anymore? If so the standard of the drill would not have dropped until like that. Look at them, the standard is very bad."
YH and I could only look at each other ... .... and immerse in the awkward silence.
MSHS NPCC
Today is the 40th birthday of Maris Stella High School NPCC Unit.
40 years have since passed when the unit first started. Thousands of cadets have come and went.
A parent asked MQ and me at the CCA Maze today if the the high standards set by the unit (7 years consecutive gold) means cadets will be doing poorly in their studies, and i replied that it actually helps them in their time management if they put in effort.
She was surprised when she realised that both of us were ex cadets from the school.
Maybe that very fact was more than any explanation or convincing in the world: we were living examples of the excellence that we were advertising.
What kind of CCA would prompt ex cadets to come back and serve more than 10 years after graduation?
Will we carry on to be what we used to be?

Everyday 630am reach school,
every night wake up 3 to 5 times,
stayed back late till 9pm,
earliest was 4pm,
earliest time slept was 830pm,
time to wake up 5am,
latest time to sleep 12am,
less than 20 scripts marked,
hundreds of admin sheets completed,
hundreds more to go,
students behaviour to correct,
life of a no-life teacher.
